BREAKING: A crucial case went “exceptionally badly” for the Trump administration after the judge lost his patience for the MAGA Justice Department’s dishonesty and evasive maneuvers.

The rule of law is coming down hard on these hack Republicans…

According to Kyle Cheney of Politico, the Justice Department’s efforts to defend a decision to freeze funding for the United States Agency for International Development hit rocky waters today.

“A federal judge who ordered the unfreezing of USAID contract spending is voicing frustration as a Trump administration lawyer repeatedly refuses to say whether they have actually taken any steps to implement his 12-day-old order,” Cheney reported on X.

“I don’t know why I can’t get a straight answer from you. Are you aware of an unfreezing of the disbursement of funds for those contracts and agreements that were frozen before February 13?” asked District of Columbia Judge Amir Ali.

“I’m not in a position to answer that,” said the Trump DOJ attorney.

Cheney’s reporting continued—

“This continues to be going exceptionally badly for DOJ, which can’t seem to give a straight answer to the judge’s questions here: ‘We’re now 12 days in … You can’t answer me whether any funds that you kind of acknowledged are covered by the court’s order have been unfrozen?” he wrote.

Ultimately, the judge order the Trump administration to comply with a temporary order that prevents it from pausing funding for billions of dollars in foreign assistance that was issued earlier this month.

He gave the State Department until Wednesday to pay all of its bills for work that was lawfully completed before February 13th.

In other words, it was a resounding defeat for MAGA.
